I Saw The Devil



Great Korean movie about a serial killer who ends up messing with the wrong guy when he kills the fiancee of a special agent...
Love watching these Korean thrillers/drama's. This one is definately a cut above the rest. It's quite graphic though so not for the squeamish.

Yes, I waited for a decent copy to have a look at this one. One the whole it reminded me a bit of a Guy Ritchie film, quite snappy direction. But for the first half hour, I couldn't really get into it, but once it settled down in the second act, it was great. And I liked the third act particularly, and a clever ending to boot.

I'd say about 7/10 there's worse about at the moment.

Like The Tunnel (2010), a sort of Blair Witch/Paranormal Activity low budget effort about a news crew investigating the disappearance of homeless people in Sydney.

I wish people would realise that cheap handycam movies are basically a worn out concept now.

That Paranormal Activity was utter gobshite, but it found a market of people who actually thought it was scary rather than stone cold boring, so it's spawned a flood of imitators.

Good plot, good action, well paced and plenty of twists.

Hidden 3D (2011) - is exactly where this crap horror movie should have stayed.

I'll leave an IMDB reviewer to sum it up accurately:

movies as bad as this should NEVER be made in this day in age let alone the idiots who financed this rubbish. I should say first off that i will give almost ANY movie a chance & will sit through most almost anything BUT.....this is definitely up there as, one of the worst movies ever made, stay away like the plague!!! there is not a single thing going for this movie, its just painful to watch. the people "acting" in this movie should never be aloud to act again, this was painful to watch. actually made me angry that i wasted moments of my life watching this abysmal movie.

Step one ....get a cast who cant act. step two... get a boring plot/ script. step three...text book terrible acting. step four... get the worst special effects you can afford... i could go on but you get the idea....

Stiller is stiller, Jack Black is Jack Black, but Robert Downey Jr is a black man and is so fooking funny... and Tom Cruise.. well you just got to see his character, its insane. It's got Steve Coogan too.. for a while
