Looks great man. I am already hungry for turkey and the rest. Tomorrow the Local VFW will have an old fashion type Thanksgiven here just outsde Korat on my friends farm. I can't wait.
My plans for thanksgiving - look up on the net to see what the fuck it's all about.
There's a British Pub about an hour from here (nearest big city) which generally has very good food. They are offering a complete Thanksgiving spread - 6Kg turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, etc, etc for about $100. I ordered two - one for us, and one for my Filipino partner and his family. They do it all - just send the driver up there Thursday afternoon to pick it up. Wife is making her own pies here. Will be interested to see how it goes - have never tried this before.
That looks a hell of a nicely cooked turkey bsnub , I,m not really into the xmas thing but I think youve just changed my mind about dinner , I will order a small turkey tonight.
Did you make that round ring shape cake / dessert thing with the icing on in the left of the pic , excuse me what is it ?
I am trying to work out where you were when the pic was taken I would guess not USA , but then I wouldnt think Thailand with electric rings , probably wrong on both counts.
BTW mashed potatoes ?? ooooooooooohh no no gotta be roasts 555
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
^ Thanks for the compliments Nig and all. We do a prime rib on Christmas as we are full of turkey after Thanksgiving.
To answer your questions I was the one shooting the pictures the punter in the orange shirt is my brother, the others are my uncle and my stepfather. My Aunt made that cake and it was amazing. I think it was some type of cinnamon, rum, chocolate cake. I will ask her tomorrow and update. We yanks must have mashed taters for Thanksgiving so that we can pour that lovely turkey gravy all over them and the stuffing. BTW you can never order a big enough turkey the leftovers are half the fun of Thanksgiving. A cold turkey sandwich with cheddar, mayo, salt, pepper, mustard and sliced dill pickle is a lunchbox champion!!

Nice turkey bsnub.
Don't celebrate the day, in fact I have no idea what it is all about but I hope all the American members have a lovely day with your friends and families.
It is here in Seattle at my mothers house. The good ole USA.Originally Posted by nigelandjan

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

^ I know what you mean and thats why I am taking full advantage of these holidays. When I make the move over to LOS I will not be able to make it home every year.
Have a good turkey-day, y'all!
When I was a kid we used to go to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving. After, the adults would drink highballs, play poker and end up having a big row. I enjoy my non-eventful Thanksgivings in Thailand much better.

Indeed...
The old saying 'you can pick your friends but you're stuck with your family' holds so true.
p.s. what happened to the pic?
It started with the early settlers. They were quite religeous and wished to show God their thanks for the bounty of a good harvest.....at least that's the story they put out, but I think it was more just being happy to have escaped from England...
Today it's more about having a few days off work and getting an opportunity to annoy your relatives....over eat and watch sports on the big TV......
Yes as he said!!! F the politics for this one day and hang with the family eat and drink yourself stupid, watch football, take embarrassing pictures of Mom and Auntie. Don't forget to laugh! But just enjoy life.Originally Posted by koman
Cheers to everyone have a happy thanksgiving and that includes you too booners. You still have a place at my table. Anytime.
In about 13 hours I will be knee deep in a 25 pound turkey. Pics will be posted.
Can you DHL me over a drumstick and some stuffing.Originally Posted by bsnub
That could be arranged mate for the proper price. Although I think you are better off just flying over as you would never be turned away. As you would have to fight off some very formidable competition.
However a guest is a guest especially on thanksgiving!
Just had dinner in the Moonshine bar on Soi 22.
It is the night before thanksgiving and I cant wait.
