No idea what you coonts are on about, must be a pommy thing?
I'd go with Laility.
Or Rarity as normal people say it.
Last night's dinner was such a hit, me date wanted the same tonight.
But with little macaroni elbows.
Her eating habits do leave a little to be desired.
^ I prefer the macaroni to the long traditional spaghetti (easier to scoff down)...
Looks great, Lu..
Chicken tacos tonight...
After a generous coating of cheese..
Then top them with sour cream, etc...
Do you guys like caramelized onions? I love them. Takes time, but adds a whole new dimension of flavor, throw them on everything. (as you will notice with my food).
Looks great, Dick!

I miss oysters...they're way outside of my budget. Oysters Rockefeller are wonderful, I've never been big on raw.Originally Posted by Dillinger
3 excellent meals above gents, great home cooking and very well done to all . Sorry Dickie but I'm out of green ammo for yours and it deserves one, the caramelised onions would really lift that dish.
Unless you're eating pancakes, waffles or cereal, there's no dish that caramelized onions or jalapenos wouldn't be a great addition to...Originally Posted by Headworx
Raw are fine as long as they're really fresh. And I've rarely found them that way in Thailand. We ate at a Dillinger-esq restaurant last week that had 3 different oysters available on the day, 2 types from France and 1 from Ireland. So we got 4 of each to share @ about 180 Baht a piece . Massive fail, they tasted ok but weren't plump and fell flat on the plate. TBH, the Thai oysters you can get at Foodland for about 50 Baht a tub would have been preferable.
Anyway, here's me and Missus Worx's idea of a good plate of oysters from our favourite Seafood resto on the Gold Coast (in Oz). Natural, Mornay, and Killpatrick. About AUD $25 or 650 Baht and always superb.
That's the perfect appetizer......couples perfectly with whatever you'd like to drink and the price is right.Originally Posted by Headworx
Those were Irish oysters
The chicken kebab was Irish too
^^Indeed it's the perfect starter. That's just a brilliant resto, it's right on a Marina overlooking million++ dollar yachts and the food is off the hook good. The prices are very reasonable and they must do 1000 covers a day, it's incredibly popular. When we're down there, the comparison to what sort of prices we pay here come into it and it's often cheaper to eat better food in restos down there. Here's the menu for an idea of that and the ex rate is around 26.5 to the Baht;

^ looks nice, that's for sure.
