Especially if you like chucking it on the grill, steaks are better. I like to eat crispy salmon skin, so all good for me.

Salmon cooks nicely in an airfryer too if you have one.

It's pretty hard to smoke a salmon steak, but the fillets do nicely.
Miss KW has been craving meatloaf, so made one tonight and paired it with PAG’s cheesy cauliflower. I added a touch of truffle oil to the mix and covered it with Parmesan cheese. She ate all of it and asked for seconds (and this is a kid who normally doesn’t eat vegetables at all! Thanks PAG!

one of my favorites when done well
^ Nice but looks a bit 'pet' for me.
I found a bag of mixed colour bell peppers in the bottom of the fridge today... what to do?
Defrost some pork mince, that's what. Then knead in finely chopped red onion, an egg and some salt and pepper.
I pushed my boundaries today.

Once liberally rubbed with olive oil there was no way these buggers would stand up... and then I remembered my sawn-off cup cake tray.

What to do for 50 minutes while baking in the trusty convection oven?

And the second brainwave of the night... a bed of mashed potato to stand them up in.

I wonder what's under the red lid?

Mendip, that rivals any of PAG's dishes! Well cooked and artistically plated.
^ we are lacking impartial reviews, namely Jess's :)
It certainly looks creative!
I had a NY strip with mushrooms and mash.

Who ever got the yellow pepper drew the short straw.
Why do packs of peppers comes in red, green and yellow when I personally can't stand the yellow pepper.
Respecto for giving the yellow pepper a chance Mendip, but I'm not buying it.:)
You can buy loose peppers at the market.
^ But then who would do the gardening? Clean the pool? Clean out the chickens? Feed the dogs when I'm away?
Or even do my sanding?
I would like to announce my retirement from food threads with immediate effect. I'll quit while I'm at the top of my game.
Where can I go from here?
Two clean plates said it all. I wasn't really expecting her to eat the pepper but she ate it before I mentioned that to her.
I had the yellow one and thought it was OK. The wife will have the green one today although once it's been coated in chilli sauce I doubt she'll taste any pepper.
I must admit I didn't realise that the colours tasted any different? I've never really given it much thought but just assumed the different colours were different stages of ripeness?
