Yup. Although to be fair that scrambled eggs on toast does look top notch.

This is what a £17.95 breakfast looks like in a 4 star hotel in the UK.
Firstly the view..

The starter, a chocolate coisante and coffee..

A full monty, alas no black pudding or chef cooked poached eggs that I was expecting..

Tbf I was underwhelmed by the whole culinary experience although my stinking hangover didn't help.
^ Is that a half glass of Napoleon XO?:)
Breakfast for two?
Sorry about that old chum. But to be fair this is what it looks like on my phone.

The wife's new source for eggs is unique. Buy 18 and at least a dozen will be double yolk or in Thai "kai fat". Makes my go to easy breakfast even easier. Pound out a pork fillet to the size of your wheat bread. Season it and cook it up quickly, all the while toasting your bread. Butter the toast, add the pork fillet and slowly cook up the egg. 8-10 minutes start to finish. Nice little start to the day at 7:30am.

^ You can't beat a double yolker!
We sometimes get them when a new chicken starts laying, but that doesn't last long and I haven't had one for yonks.
To keep the egg theme going...
I thought it was time to crack these open.

I'm looking forward to a bottle of Leo tonight with a bag of posh Korat Chef imported crisps and a pickled egg!
I'm not usually one to reminisce about my previous life when I had a good social life and went to proper pubs in the evenings, but it was always common to get the barmaid to stick a pickled egg in your bag of crisps. I haven't seen this anywhere else but Somerset and have no idea why, but when you have a pint you can soon run out of hands when you want to eat as well.
^ Nice but I'd prefer malt vinegar.
Quite common pickled eggs in a bag of crisps. Always ready salted for me and get them to tip a bit of yhe vinegar into the bag.
You like those lil eclairs. That's at least a dozen that need to be eaten by tomorrow. :)
^ Eighteen, to be exact, although I'm sure the daughter will demand her share.
My plan is stick them in a bowl, and make up a hot chocolate sauce to pour over.
And maybe top it off with a dollop of icecream!
I relax my diet on a Saturday night.

The master. :yup:
I just had an Air France breakfast while descending into the Congo.
Frozen butter softened under my right thigh while I tackled the roll, cheese and jelly jam with wooden cutlery.
Blatant absence of UM-BONGO.
Welcome to the region. It’s a bit dicey in certain areas of DRC right now. Stay safe.
^ Boom boom! Surely that should have gone in the funny puns thread?
^^ I imagine Dirk is heading for the Republic of Congo as it's work. I used to enjoy a couple of days in Pointe Noir in times gone by.
I didn’t get off, carried on to Angola.
Shit hole.
i need a bigger plate

That looks very nice and no beans! Perfect!
My 10 year old was given a choice of an Asian breakfast (egg on rice) or Aussie (Vegemite on bread)
He chose Aussie. Cant blame him, best food in the world!
