Starting Thanksgiving off right……..
Bacon, lettuce and tomato barms were called for, and were had.
The silver lining is that Chitty is too stupid to be able to enlarge pictures on Teakdoor.
Not as bad as that overcooked scrambled egg but yeah, Chitty can't make a cup of tea to save his life.
The scrambled egg is the weakest part on the plate (or is it uncooked cauliflower?) - a bit less cooking time and some pepper required.
-7 this morning, and the little bastard forced me up to take him for a walk (so, I didn't put a coat on him, hoping it'd discourage him, but he bloodywell loves the cold)...
Bought a four cheeses pizza tonight and some Guinness to watch two matches that'll put the mighty ITFC at the top of the league.
Cycling should be banned!!!
Rarely have scrambled eggs these days, but do enjoy them. Made some this morning, topping a toasted bagel. Good start to the day.
Leftover pizza
Well, brunch really. A Spanish omelette is always good to have in the fridge as it will keep for a few days, and equally as good for a snack either hot or cold. The purists will argue it should be made with only potato and eggs, though the reality is onions typically make an appearance also. This morning, pushed the flavour a bit, incorporating some chopped large red, mild chillies, and chopped spring onion.
First off, slowly frying in olive oil the sliced potato, onion, chilli, and spring onions.
After about 30 minutes, when the onion had browned and the potato softened, drained of the oil and into a separate bowl of beaten egg and chopped fresh coriander.
The pan wipe clean, then a spoon of oil added before adding the omelette mix. After around 20 minutes on a low heat, a plate goes over the pan and turned over.
After a further 5 minutes, it's ready.
For M'Sahib, a generous injection of sriracha sauce to top it off.
That is more than a generous amount! Lol
I plan to expose the daughter to the full Bangkok experience over the next few days.
With some obvious omissions. For example, I won't bore her with a visit to the Trendy offices.
Today it was breakfast from the street vendors. Tomorrow it will be a Full English, venue yet to be decided.
Sadly, today I have to spend pretty much the entire afternoon drinking beer with an old mate... it's a tough job but someone has to do it. Luckily, my mate's grown-up daughter is on hand to take mine on a Bangkok shopping expedition for the day. To be honest it will probably be her best day of the holiday.
^ I only like her to deal in cash... 100 Baht and 20 Baht notes to be precise.
I'll need my card for the bar bill.
Do you not have two?
a couple of 100s and a fist full of twenties won’t go far in the malls in Bangkok.
