Allowed to cool, then into a box to be toasted and had for breakfast tomorrow.

They look spot on PAG.
It'll come as no surprise that PAG's home-made crumpets look better than store bought Warburton's. Still tasty though with lashings of butter and honey :)

^^ Did a Thai toast those?:) I doubt you'll find better homemade than those though.
I reckon you've even outdone Charleyboy:)

^ Low Carb? Nah... HW is on the Lower Derby diet:)
^ What do the bottoms of them look like? Are they all brown and hardened like Warbies and able to hold 200ml of syrup?:)
Yup, and will get harder when they're toasted tomorrow.

As planned, a couple of the crumpets toasted this morning, lots of butter and a drizzle of honey.

Fvck Dill off PAG!
Marry me!
They are only crumpets, Shitty. Let’s not get too excited.
^ It looks like PAG's next culinary masterpiece may be a spit roast?
Everyone loves pancakes in the morning, sugar and lemon on top.
None of this drenched in maple syrup Yank shite :UK:
Who invented the pancake???

Looks like you are right, and that is very interesting...
The Long, Surprising History of Pancakes
Yabba Dabba Doo. :smileylaughing:
Just to follow on from the recent posts on crumpets, saw this advertised earlier at a new local restaurant. 89 Baht with tea or coffee, can't be much meat left on the bone at that price but in any case, it's not for me. Just butter and honey thank you, that's how we ate them as kids and still the best way.

Suppose you could deconstruct it and you have a sausages and egg breakfast with crumpets on the side for 89 baht.
^Oddly enough I think that combo would work fine on muffins but for some reason, can't get my head around using crumpets. Savoury vs sweet thing maybe..
A flour tortilla, Two scrambled eggs poured over it (don't worry if it spills over" chopped ham or the meat of your choice. and shredded Kasseri cheese . ot the cheese of your choice. I think swish cheese would also work .
Then another tortilla on top
Fry over low flame to melt the cheese and cook the eggs without burning to tortilla. Flip over and cook some more, when you think the cheese is melted turn the flame to high to brown the tortilla.
Not a terribly new idea, but something I had not tried before, that came out really good. I'll try other variations.

Add half a cob of corn and some water cress

Throw it all in a blender.

Then watch as nothing happens.
Throw in half a cup of water, successfully blend.
Taste, add a pinch of salt and some hot chili mayo.

Result. Quite tasty, easy, less condiments, healthy.
Obviously I just used what I had, but I will add some lime and ginger next time.

Not that hot to be honest but blowing my own head off with a paint-stripper sauce on a breakfast toastie doesn't make much sense, where as the milder burn and garlic flavour of this works perfectly. And yeah they're moorish, a very tasty combo.
I do like my tabasco, but have found that I'm more swayed towards Frank's hot sauce. And if you use the Frank's Buffalo Wings sauce you can make your food more saucy as you can apply it pretty thick to the safe effect as sprinkling on the normal one, same like tabasco.
Can get Frank's in Lotus's's's's now. Yet to try it in a Bloody Mary.
Franks hot sauce? I have a bottle and put that shit on everything :)
Haven't tried their Buffalo sauce, will have a look for it though.
Your healthy smoothie above looks very good, I've recently acquired a Magic Bullet blender that might be perfect for making something similar.
Do you really think that regular Tabasco is hot? I sure don't but then again I am biased to the heat.
Franks is not a bad choice, more mild for those that can't handle Tabasco. :)
If you can find this stuff over there it is loaded with flavor and not too hot...

Of course, I need to ratchet the heat up...

:)
No Tabasco isn't really hot at all, but I've got some sauces at home that are hot and don't belong on a breakfast toastie! I don't know why, but spicy and breakfast don't go together for me.
And yeah we get those Crystal brand sauces here, but the ones that will strip paint are typically locally made no-name concoctions that find themselves on local market shelves.
The wing sauce comes in bigger bottles and costs less, yet the value for money is the same, if you catch my drift...
It's still a salad. I really just put a tiny splash of water to get it circulating in the blender. No milk, no ice,no yoghurt, no nut juice (show me where the tits are on an almond).
I got 2 glasses out of that salad. No need for dickloads of sauce, salt and pepper or the awkwardness of actually eating a good size salad. All flavours combined and consistent.
Apparently, your body can process more nutrients this way too but I'm not so bothered about that.
Defo the way to go for breakfast salads. Bacon would work, but skip the tuna.
