    Dry Rubbed Corned Beef

Ain't this a bitch, here I mixed the spices and dry rubbed 2 chunks of strip loin, I got a 4 kg one cut in half and shipped and it is now in the fridge and I forgot to take any pix, so you will not get to see it for 16 days when it goes in the pot with cabbage and carrots, onions and taters.
Coarse it was shipped by mistake, I ordered 2 Ribeye cut into steaks and they shipped 1 and a striploin cut in 2 pieces, which looked like it should be corned, wait til you see it and I think you will agree with me.

I'd be making me some Ruben sandwiches that corned beef. Find a good rye bread and your set.

I ain't seen any good Rye Bread here and I do like a good Ruben, and I also make kraut as good as can be had using the poor excuse for cabbage that they grow here.
I also got a line on good pork bellies, so next, when I get some decent smoke wood I will make some "for real BACON" not like this shit they sell here and call "TGM Brand" Bacon.

He don't deliver I don't think and now I have a new stove with a thermostat controlled oven so maybe I bake some bread myself one day, I do make a fair sour dough product if I have time and the energy, which I lack here in this hot weather and with emphysema dogging my ass.

mmmm I have some corned beef in a can (the old style -- with the key to open the can). Better get some kraut and rye bread and build me a Reuben.

Not the same as fresh cooked corned beef tho Jetty. And with the sugar and spice I used mine should be about as good a Kosher jew corned beef, better than corned with just salt.
