    Chinese Style Black Pepper Burgers

I have been eating hamburgers on a regular basis recently, and they are often served in the same old boring but tasty style, so I tried to do something a little different for today's recipe.

    You will need:
    Minced beef
    Burger bun
    Iceberg lettuce
    Red pepper (capsicum)
    Spring onions
    French fried potatoes
    Salt and Pepper
    Sesame oil
    Cornflour
    Water
A jar or packet of black pepper sauce

This is a jar of Lee's Black Pepper Sauce. There are many kinds and can be found in all supermarkets in Thailand as they are a common ingredient in Chinese cuisine.

First off, prepare your burger patties. Use no more than 150 grams of ground beef per patty and add liberal amounts of salt and pepper. Do not add egg, breadcrumbs or any other binding ingredients as they are not necessary and will spoil the taste of the beef! Bind together well in a bowl by squeezing the meat together in your hands and forming a patty. Patience and the patty will form well.

You need to de-seed and slice your red pepper. Slice thinly.

Chop your spring onion white parts finely and the stems into inch long pieces.

Mortals you defy the Gods, I sentence you to travel among unknown stars, until you find the Kingdom of Hades, your bodies will stay as lifeless as stone.

Now mix a tablespoon of sesame oil, a teaspoon of cornflour and a couple of table spoons of water together in a bowl.

Now you need to decide how you are cooking your meat. If you are frying, then coat the patty in the mixture you have just made and allow to sit for a couple of minutes. If you are grilling, slap your meat on the grill and just add the red pepper slices to the mixture of cornflour, water and oil, leaving to sit for a minute.

    The meat is almost cooked.

If you are frying the meat then add a little cooking oil to a saucepan and fry the burger and excess liquids. Once it is almost done add the spring onion whites and the red pepper slices.
If grilling your meat, just add the spring onion whites and the red peppers with the marinade.

Spring onions go in with the red pepper mix.

Now add a couple of tablespoons of your black pepper sauce!

It will be sticky icky so add a bit of water until you get a nice consistency.

Once the sauce is almost done, baste your burger with some of the sauce. Obviously this is not necessary if you fried your meat as it is still in the pan also.

Add the spring onion stems to the sauce.

Always toast your buns! Bed your burger with fresh iceberg lettuce.

Top your burger with the leftover sauce, add French fries or your accompaniment of choice and Bob's a small, devious looking man with a molester moustache that calls himself your Uncle but you suspect he's been shagging yer ma.

You're the chick - the kitchen is your domain, not mine.

^ Hey! I'm 5'4" (about 160?) What do you want for my new weight of 104 lbs? I thought men liked their chicks short in stature. I make up for it in poison-tongue venom. Oops.

Sure. I guess chicks like their men large in girth (stomach, not penis )?
