    Spaetzle like it?

i wandered into a store today selling mostly european products. im a fan of german cooking and i always found the side dish of Spaetzle to be a tasty accompaniment to ones schweinshaxe. might call this german tucker night tonight. and have mrs bld put on the octoberfest outfit while i down steins of germanys best , put on me lederhosen and crank up the oompha oompha music. its sure to make her a bit frisky
    ? nein?

He promised to headbutt me, if he ever saw me. Charming.

I guess that my solution would be that he 'never saw me'.

It's probably easy to make ? Its just a sort of noodle after all. I'm guessing that the kids will also like it but Mrs bld will reject it for not being noodely enough ( is that even a word?) Mein gott.

How is spaetzle different from pasta?

Usually when you make pasta, you form a dense dough from flour and eggs, which you knead, rest, roll, and cut until your right arm feels like Mendy's after an 8 week stint on the North Sea...

To make spaetzle, you just mix flour, egg, and a bit of milk into a pancake batter-like consistency

Yeah, that's easy for you to say. But I don't usually make pasta, I buy it that's probably why my right arms the same size as my left arm, more or less. But anyway it's spaetzle a German pasta. The eye ties can't claim all the fooking credit for inventing pasta

Spaetzle really isn't pasta in the classic sense. Depends on one's sensibilities.
And.....the mechanics to preparing this Nazi comfort food is easy and straight forward.
Can only be made fresh - not processed and package. Fuck off.

    Here....have a look. Charlatans.

Foj. If I could find a German to make it fresh in the " classic sense" I wouldn't of bought the packet variety. Strewth who would of thought this German noodle was so controversial? Reg reckons it's just pasta and anybody with a right arm like arnie Schwarzenegger should be able to knock it up? Jeff reckons it's Nazi comfort food. David 44 reckons it won't be great for the waistline. ? I'm gonna hang up my lederhosen until.i hear some more positive info..

Spätzle is really not good from the pack you can buy. You have to make them yourself. I admit, I never did, so I never eat them. But here a video how to make them, the classic method. It is easy, but quite time consuming, you have to be patient. It is in german but you see how it is made.

Never made them at home, only had them in a gasthaus in Germany or restaurant here in the US. Lovely with Jagerschnitzel or rouladen.
