Do you eat Thai food on a regular basis

Do you usually eat Thai,or do you prefer your own food from your home country?

I prefer to eat Thai when in Thailand, though I do crave western foods, and most probably breakfast for me is usually western

lunch, dinner is usually Thai, and i prefer southern Thai dishes, which have Malaysian influences.

No. But I would, if I was in Thailand. I wish you could get cheap & tasty noodle soups off the street here, but na.

I eat Thai food probably 90% of the time. The other 10% is mostly general type meals. Various Salads, BBQd chicken, BBQd pork chops, veggies and of course the occasional Ribeye steak.

My fav Thai dish are the various noodle soups for about 35/40 bht. Can't beat them for a quick lunch.

Eating vegetable stir-fry and chicken Pad Kra Pao, right now.
A mix of western and Thai would say. Wife is a great Thai cook, and I like to cook, and being retired I have the time.

I don't eat the village food up here. Today they had rat for breakfast and it's fish and snails from the local stream for lunch. They also rarely eat jasmine rice, which I prefer to glutinous.
I tend to cook Italian or Chinese style most of the time. The children love pasta with either cream or tomato sauces and it allows the wife to eat her favourite local dishes without worrying about me.

It feels like I'm a million miles away from the EU at the moment. They've brought out the mole crickets to go with the fish. The home made rice whisky tastes good though. At least the danger of covid is also a distant memory...

    Miss this life...

I eat Thai food maybe 30% of the time. I would eat it for almost every meal, but my wife and I have very different tastes - I like Padgapow, Fried Rice, Issan food (NamTok, Gai Yang, Kor Mu Yang, Lab, etc) Khai Geiow on rice, and so forth. She likes all of the noodle dishes, soups and Somtam. As a compromise she makes a lot of Chinese, Japanese and Western food.

When in Thailand, it's every day for at least 1 meal of the day and usually 2.

The food is fantastic and cheap. Why wouldn't you make the most of it?

I like the availibility of cheap fresh fruit in Thailand and enjoy that every day.

Of course, most of the Thai rice and noodle dishes that are so tasty, really aren't healthy — filed with salt, sugar and fat.

Luckily, healthy Thai food choices are becoming more common these days.

In Thailand it's mainly Thai every day but it gets interspersed by western dishes either homemade or bought. Mrs is a great cook. Actually we get lazy and cook up a batch of Gaeng for a couple of days at times, fuk cooking 2-3 times a day.

Too much good street stall food to do a lot of cooking. I go out for foreign food or cook it at home once or twice a week.

Where I am now I have to cook every BLEEP BLEEP day.

I'd agree except they cut a lot of corners on quality to eke out profit. There are a handful of restos i trust, ones that are chinkythai and make their own stock fresh daily for soups etc.

Absolutely. When we eat out we have a half a dozen or so restaurants we chose from because we either know the owner and how they prep and cook or we know the quality is great. My wife knows I do not eat fatty low quality meats or animal guts of any kind. That said we only eat out maybe once or twice a week anyway.
