Danitos el sticko mucho puto hombre.
Last few days I've had a 'holiday' from my diet, this at the behest of M'Sahib just before and after my vaccination. So, steak lunch it is then. Pan fried striploin with a mushroom and red wine sauce, sides of roasted potato with rosemary, and garden peas.

Seasoned and into a hot skillet.

Three minutes each side usually works for me.

Laid to rest and get on with the sauce.

Softened some onion, added the mushrooms.

Added the red wine and allowed to reduce. At the end added a knob of butter to give it a shine.

^ Wonderful PAG ... man, you live the foodie life.
Lunch for me was 2 day old Pizza which were the left-overs from a Corporate meeting (we never waste anything!)
^^ good Lord i really should put off looking at the lunch thread at breakfast time. You've done Mendip proud. :)
^^ It's a fooking Mendip tribute spread!!!
The steak and taters look great PAG! The steak is perfect.

It's a brand name not real "french fries". They're crisps.
Your attempt to talk shit about a sandwich with crisps is pathetic. Quick! To the balcony to burn some lamb!
I'd be worried if you actually had anything nice to say.
M'Sahib on lunch duty for me today, rustling up one of my perennial favourities, what she just calls 'chicken with yellow rice'. It's much more than that of course, and I particularly enjoy the garlic slices that have been fried until almost caramelised that you sprinkle on top, and lashings of a sweet chilli sauce dribbled over it.

I asked her what its proper Thai name is, and the nearest she could come up with is 'Chicken Biryani', and having made a few biryanis myself, I guess is not a million miles away.

Kau moke gai, Thai name for biryani
No doubt. They'll immediately know that you don't speak Thai, so will be expecting mispronunciations.
I like their bathroom decor. The pebble floor.
Got the trots the second time going there, which was a pity really as it's a good food option in a locale that's quite devoid of them.
You do, it would also be really cool if you don’t mess up this thread with your butt hurt just because one poster pointed out the lame sandwich and anaemic looking fries and I agreed with him.
They're a reason for a shitfest and a way to insult the poster is what they are. :)

Being both homosexual and painfully difficult to live with, I put my bowl through a sieve and then picked out the chicken and mushroom for personal consumption, while then emptying the sieve full of chili, chunks of galangal, slices of lemongrass, twigs and other miscellaneous foodstuff back into the main bowl for Edith.
Had a bit of a whinge that the omelette was cooked in too much oil, before commenting that her mother makes it better.
^ You'll be wanking tonight.
Light lunch, cambozola with rough oat cakes and figs. Figs could have been slightly riper and i'd run out of chutney.

Looks as big as a California burrito..:) Nice
That duck pancake would probably give Mark Weins a Johnson to.
Looks good. Just to clarify, i would agree that was a duck pancake. Some muppet posted about getting peking duck that was all feet and beak. Peking duck is traditionally a pancake with the crispy skin (amost no meat), and a few additionals, off hand plum sauce and spring onion. Often, the rest of the duck is served as duck noodles and a soup. But the preparation for the skin for the pancakes tends to kill the flavour of the duck.
To whoever it was that got "peking duck" that was beak and feet, i would think that your hosts simply thought you were an asshole.
Corned beef hash, the corned beef is homemade (not by me...) with a semi-sunny side up egg...

On fried bread or toast?
You ae correct and I miss that. The American Restaurant in Lockhart Road in Hong Kong used to be as good as anywhere for Peking food, IMHO. Named for its clientele in Vietnam days, probably, I don't go back that far. Grumpy old waiters who had been there since the beginning of time. Not overly fancy, in fact not at all fancy, they still turned out good food. Sadly, no longer with us.
Did up me patented red and green bell pepper chickpea dip yesterday with garlic and lime juice. Hummusly delicious.
Was picking up some pitas today when spotted these badboys hanging out nearby.
