My Thai mate works at the Dusit Thani. Whilst having a beer at the local this evening, he shoved this under my nose...




Now, don't get fookin' jealous but,how many 'lumps' of imported steaks, Chateaux Briand (or whatever it's called) rack of lamb, fillet ming ewe,turky breasts etc.
Could you fookers, living here on peanuts, eat in six hours?

Just one will do.

Swilling at a pig trough is not for me.

The first five hours would be spent advising the management about the importance of English writers that can actually write the language. Especially for a company such as Dusit Thani.

Poor self representation of the company.

They should aim higher.

Bring an assortment of sealable plastic bags, fill them discretely under your table, then slip into a small rucksack or similar.

^^no, it's authentic Thaistyle; very carefully, and expensively, crafted...

Buffets always sound nicer than they end up being. A nice bit of lobster starter, a big T bone, followed a creme caramel. Sorted.

Do not be decieved by my diminutive stature. I could make the Dusit Thani rue the day they ever conceived the idea of a one price buffet. Like a camel, I can tuck a weeks grub away before you can say ' tarter sauce ' and what I can't eat I can stuff into special custom made pockets in my innoculous garb. Take me and make them cry.

^ I go early and just eat them out of smoked salmon.

This is Thailand; if someone offers you canapes I recommend you check whether they are mushy ones first. A top notch establishment should know better...

Here they call it a Buffet à Gogo.

It's very fairly priced, but for sure free is better.

Nice buffet but didn't see any big steaks!
The two types of gravy that I tasted were excellent.

Nice selection of cheeses but, I was bursting!

I doubt they care how much you eat, it's not like you'll have them whipping the kitchen staff into creating more dishes.

As for me, buffets are terrible value; most I'll have is one plate with a supplementary nibble of anything that might tickle the buds.
