According to the write up they are great for chips. I'm going to try frozen chips tonight but will do fresh ones next time and will get back to you.
I do a type of oven chip in mine. Parboil a thick cut spud and then spray with oil and bung in the oven for 20mins of full whack. I prefer the result done this way than deep frying.Originally Posted by superman
I decided to go for fresh chips and they, like me, are lovely.
got the tefal actifry; cost about 6 grand here
its pretty good for meat and veg so far

I think they look rather cute!
2 eggs, black pepper, salt. Whisk. Add milk. Whisk. Slowly add plain flour and keep whisking until it has a 'creamy' consistency. Cover with clean damp cloth, leave for an hour or so at room temp or shove in the fridge for an hour.
Heat oil until it's 'smoking.' Then add the mixture and cook at a seriously high temp.
Hope that helps.
I find I need to parbake the pizza crust a bit of it ends up soggy. That is for proper man's pizza, not the girly cardboard crust ones.Originally Posted by charleyboy
^ Totally agree Marm...I pre-bake!
Makes nice roast pork and crackling.
