    Classic Computer games... Amiga,Spectrum,Commodore...

After hearing the music to Manic Miner tonight It got me thinking about all
the old classic games that I played as kid on the Spectrum and Amiga 500.

    To name a few....

    Manic Miner:
This game had such a catchy theme tune,I dont know if it was that or joy of the
platform game that kept you glued to the screen.

    Double Dragon:
This game was the game of the day that every kid had to have,Amazing really
when all you do is keep walking to the right and fighting the same bad guys
who just keep changing the colour of their clothes.

    Lemmings:
My,This game was addictive,After you master how to use all the different hammers
and diggers you would always find one of the little Bastardz stuck in wall somewhere refusing to come out.

    Commando:
I suppose this was the Call of Duty of its day.

    Daley Thompson Games :
I think even if you were not into playing games you would have been hard pressed
not to have been caught playing this.I think me and my brother broke several
Joysticks trying to win the 100metre Hurdles.

    ^^

WOW look at those graphics,I gotta say MOTD did not seem worth the time it took
to load on those tapes to play.I use to run out of tapes so I had to learn that noise and load them up myself by doing my best impression of the noise

I once got a Star Letter in Your Sinclair magazine.

That has been the highlight of my life so far.

My son still plays Lemmings on my old Commodore Amiga.
When we go on the bus he takes out a pad and pen and designs new Lemmings levels.

Anyone remember the "Leisure Suit Larry" series?

I used to play a lot of Intellivision football and baseball- they look so crude now, but at the time these games were state-of-the-art:

When we first got a Spectrum, it was only the 16k version so had to make do with games like Jetpac

    and Harrier Attack

Crikey, me too. Clocked Commando 10 times in a row but never got too far on Green Beret which kinda bugged me.

I still play Populous II on Amiga emulator. Never being another game like it made.

I am sure the staff of Dixons / WH Smiths / Boots used to love people entering such programs into their display computers

had a try at writing 0's and X's in basic many moons ago ,

soon gave that up as a bad joke once the permutations became apparent .
