Come down one night Dave, we can both have a try of it
looks as bad as it sounds too!

Used to love Guiness, but had the misfortune to visit Dublin on the anniversery (sp) of Bobby Sands (Murdering terrorist/freedom fighter whatever your viewpoint.) After the treatment of the (Up for the Craic) locals I vowed never to knowingly touch a single Irish product again.
No more Jamesons (Sad). But plenty of Glenfidich.
I wonder if tony in Maggie mays knows about this!
SuperSport to be cut, now Guinness... Is this some concerted campaign against sports-watching, beverage-swilling, couch potato's or what?
Whats this about super sport ,heard a whisper ,true, is trying to stop football on supersports.....via sophon
FlyingHigh,
DSTV, who broadcast Supersport and other channels for Africa, are stopping transmission on the global C-Band because of piracy, presumably under orders from FIFA, with the world cup starting in June.
Should be off BY 31st May.
They are transferring to two other satellites that only cover Southern Africa.
Unless it's retransmitted via another satellite I can't see how you'll ever see those channels here again.
True paid big bucks for premiership rights and I'm surprised they haven't kicked up more of a fuss about it - presumably the gangs that control WETV and Sophon are quite "influential".
But with no signal to rebroadcast on your cable, it becomes rather more difficult.
There is another TD thread on which more detail can be found.
One of the 2 sats is the same, just different bandwidth and a different footprint.Originally Posted by harrybarracuda

Tastes bloody horrible.
That may be the case, but Guinness is a second rate stout at best. The best stout is made by Adnams of Suffolk.Originally Posted by TSR2

Our UK citizens (of Afro - Caribbean extraction ) drink a pint glass with a bottle of Guinness and one of Vimto, bunged in as well -Vimto is a fizzy drink - bright red - and sweet enough to make your teeth run for cover.
Result
A black pint with an almost luminous pink head on it !
F*ckin ghastly !
After the first couple with over-proof rum chasers it don't taste too bad though !
with over-proof rum chasers it don't taste[/QUOTEwell it probably numbs your mouth
Hello Everyone,
