I have an 8pm rule (ie:I never start before) - due to alcohol problems in the past.
But 5pm - surely that's a bit early isn't it AO?
He's mashed by 8, so it keeps him in check at home. The missus is a happy bunny too.
does he have a finish time then.....ie: no booze after 8pm say?
AO - do you have a finish time before someone asks me to ask you..
No. He just slides onto the floor and the maids drag him onto the bed. Its quite sad actually.
does he grope the maids on the way upstairs though?
You'd need beer goggles to do that!
They don't need to drag him upstairs though, as the PC is in the bedroom.
It's not. We have a saying "kein Bier vor vier" which means no beer before 16:00 so AO is an hour late.Originally Posted by colourful-era

I'm starting to believe what mtd says about german beers...

ot really used to work a graveyard shift for about two years. We'd get off just as it was legal to sell alcohol so the local diner made a great breakfast that time a day. Got to enjoy the flavor combination.
It seems the avaliability of whiskies has shrunk here since my last trip (about 1yr ago).
Then I remember you could buy Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie and Glenlivet with relative ease.
I haven't seen these brands anywhere this time round (tried various supermarkets etc..where they had it last time) .
The single malts seemed to have been pulled from the market.
Any ideas as to why this has happened?

^thanks for your world-wise insight
CE, they have been pulle since you stopped drinkin, no market here now.
^no , not really
it's not a case of them not having any left in stock because all the shops I've tried don't have any.
I guess there isn't much of a market here for the good stuff as Eliminator reckons.
There's a few Cognacs around though.
the shit comes in on boat. Lacking any forethought or confidence in the market usually the dumb fucks don't re order until all the stock is gone.
That must be why, they never order anything until they have sold the last bit of anything, be it butter or Black Label.
I agree with him.
I have always thought that there would be two jobs I could always get here.
Taxi driver as the ability to actually be able to drive a car or have any idea of how to actually get anywhere does not appear to be a qualification.
Purchasing manager at any company, particulalrly retail. Only re-order when out of stock
Not always true. The biggest problem is Thai customs. They can charge what they want and often do, so what you pay one time might be half of what they want the next time, which means all your previous profits go and you just about break even if you're lucky.Originally Posted by friscofrankie
