A couple of years ago my wife did a yoga teacher's course in Chiang Rai, and became friends with a Canadian lady, one of the other students. She'd been visiting Bangkok for a yoga conference, and after came down to Phuket to stay with us for a couple of days last week. The day she was leaving Phuket, she was staying overnight in BKK before travelling home. My wife travelled up with her as the following day she (wife) was starting training in Reiki, so booked a room for the pair of them.

She chose the Anantara in Sathorn, booking a one bedroom Skyline Suite with optional twin beds. She sent me this video and photos that night, and I thought the quality of the room (bedroom, separate lounge/diner/kitchen, plus 2 balconies was remarkable for 3000 baht/night. They ate that evening at Zoom, the rooftop bar and restaurant in the hotel.
