Sukhothai province, led by the provincial governor, is organising the first-ever Sukhothai Orchid Festival on the theme of "Chang Chon Chang", which is taking place at Suan Luang Rama IX Park, Muang district, Sukhothai. The show will run from 8am to 10pm every day from January 23 to 28. The festival is to celebrate the 80th birthday of His Majesty the King next year and also to promote orchid farming and allow orchid experts to share their experiences so that anyone interested in this field can gain more understanding about growing orchids.

This festival will also include an exhibition of over 10,000 orchid species, an orchid pageant and a colourful orchid park. Moreover, orchid enthusiasts may also purchase the many orchid gardening tools on show as well as Sukhothai Otop products. Admission will be free.
