Imagine a massage parlour with that much choice. You'd never be able to make up your mind.
60,000 women all spending a week away from home.
Somehow I feel the male Thai population and beer Chang have something to do with this.
Big old Temple.
Vesak Day.
worth doing some research on , not as innocent as you may think

Yes amazing imagery. I think it was Jools posted some pictures a while back.
You have to say it looks sublime, but knowing religion there's no doubt some power tripped elite making a fortune out of it.

There are several millions of them in Thailand alone, and many (millions?) others around the globe; the UK has at least 3 of their tepples, for example...
Cult as cult can be. Quite scary indeed I know several students at university whose families have been ruined by this group. Gave away everything in pursuit of a better position with Buddah.
My wife was taken there by a friend.
Cult was the word she used upon her return, said it made her most uncomfortable.
My wife is Buddhist, her mum would have been one of the 60000. Her Dad will have nothing to do with it. When we where visiting at her house in Korat he saw the beer cans in the trunk (boot) of the car. He just laughed and put his finger over his lips. Neither speak english but after an interview of over 90mins with her aunt they where great. Have a large compound, He lives in one part and she lives in the other. He has all the soccer channels she has all the Buddhist ones. Guess where I spent my evenings
I see nothing wrong with the general buda concept, but the whole thing about coming back time after time? Also it pisses me off that the mrs will not kill mozzes. Sometimes being Catholic seems simple in comparison. Sometimes I wonder if life is tough for your average Buddhist , then ridding a motor bike like an idiot and planting your head in a wall gives you another chance at a better life? Sorry Rambling again
