I went there in March and I enjoyed it. But the skies were sort of hazy and it was almost next to impossible to see the islands off the coast there.

I'm afraid that Builder's Crack is a minority sport amongst us fat, bald, old pooves. You'd probably have to flash the cash if you wanted any action, DD.Originally Posted by dirtydog

I should also mention that Jomtien Beach Road has 8 bloody 7/11s.
Off the subject but I think my uni takes the record with 7, 7/11's and 4 family marts in a one kilo radius. Its nuts. Oh and a Tesco Express as well.
At the end of the beach road, the road turns left. On the beach side of that corner, there was many years ago a wonderful seafood restaurant called Uncle Sawaui's. This was an authentic Thai dining experience, as the floor was the beach, sand between the toes and all that. Anyone know if it still there ?
Just returned from 5 weeks in Korea, three weeks ago. What a pleasant surprise to find NO American fast food chains there. Did not see one Maacs, KFC or Pizza Hut, nor any 7 - 11 either. No wonder the Korean economy is so damn strong.
Must also be the only country in Asia where Japanese cars are rare. How rare ? MAybe 1 in a 100 is Japanese, or European. Koreans have 4 different car brands to choose models from. Plenty of choices.
Yep the restaurant is still there and I even done a write up on it but misspelled the name as per usual
Even the ugly germans go to Jomtien beach:
Damn, and I am too stupid to get that picture smaller, I already resized it two times in photobucket.com
I reccognize that beach, I didn't know where I was, but I had a motor bike, and was exploring. I thought it was pretty nice.
Good information.
Sad news for American food lovers, the KFC has closed down, not sure yet what will open in its place.
Can usually find a few tasty treats around Soi 13
Soi 13? I will have to check it out.
I wonder what is meant by 'tasty treats' ?Originally Posted by Wayne Kerr

The next few videos were all taken at dusk on Jomtien Beach.
This one was taken outside DongTan police station.
Jomtien Beach vendors packing up for the day.
Dongtan is the gay beach area of Jomtien.
thanks for the info.
Ass bandits ruin the world IMHO!!!
UOTE=dirtydog;130731]From what I understand, the place is generally packed out with old overweight pooves and young Thai men with socks down the front of their swimming costumes, and no, I aint going there again to check out those rumours, but it is a lot nicer than most of the rest of Jomtien Beach.[/QUOTE]
