With Covid this was our first trip out of Bangkok in 21 months. Just a night in Chantaburi and 3 on Koh Kut. Koh Kut turned out to be a true gem, just a lovely island that wants to remain undeveloped to preserve it beauty and nature. No cars on the island, just small motorscooters and songthaews for public transport.
Nice balcony and view from the hotel in Chantaburi, really only saw the huge Catholic church and the gem center where the wife had a good time.
The early off to Koh Kut, its only an hours drive to the ferry in Trat. The bungalow and grounds. Old family run place that has kept building to a minimum. Could have easily had three times as many rooms.
First of 3 brilliant sunsets.
Starter the first night, scallops in a cream and garlic sauce.
Up early to tour the island on our trusty Honda Click.
These beaches were all right close to the bungalows or within a few K.
Klong Chao waterfall was quite nice as well.
I will add more later. Was simply a great getaway. Driving back we made it home in 5 hours, even stopping for lunch and petrol and bathroom break.
