Great stuff Terry, I enjoyed the tour but can't green ya agian yet
Some brilliant photos - must pass the rep around a bit more
Yes, very nice thread.
You've got some hidden qualities within you Terrrence!
Yep, this thread is quite a suprise from somebody like terrrrence.
yes DD,
Terrrence has a large bag of tricks and a smart fella keeps his cards close to his chest.
you should try that some time.
Christ, looks like I went to the wrong bloody beaches.
Terry, when you were last there, was "Farrango's" open? Probably the best pizzaria in Thailand, no exaggeration, which is surprising given the fact that it's on a relatively remote island like Koh Tao.
^
farrango's was the original pizzaria on koh tao and is still powering away serving up great pizza.
they kicked off in 94 and will be there forever i would say, in there same original location.
I always like a Farrango's on Koh Tao, they do a nice Salmon Pasta as well.
Excellent post Terry57.
Thanks for taking the time to post all the pics, and share some of your knowledge.
I was down in Koh Tao last year, around April time for some diving.
We were pretty unlucky with the weather, and could only dive the Nang Yuan pinnacle as its the only area that was in a lee.
We did the touristy back packer thing of Samui, then Koh Phangan for the full moon party, then down to Koh Tao for diving.
Your pictures have made me want to head back down that way with terak and explore some of the less travelled beaches.
Thanks again mate,
Neep
I worked there as a DM for 6 months back in 2003-4. Brilliant party atmosphere and crazy bucket drinkers!
Met some real characters on Koh Tao.
The place has changed a lot now though. A buddy of mine who's still working there says the place is almost unrecognisible with buildings going up nearly everyday around the Mae Haad and Sairee.
This is the tech gear I was using back in 2005

Awesome pics, and story. Kao Tao looks like a place worth visiting.
