This is Bangbao beach which seemed to cater for backpackers
The sand is Boracay style, very soft a, white and powdery. Only problem is it contains Sandflies. Big problem on the island im told

Thiis is the port the ferrys use in the high season
Theres a resort next to it if you just want tto get of the boat and hit the beach, Appeared to be closed for low season. Looked nice enough though
Strange choice of pool tiles
The wife chose those shorts.
In the low season the ferrys use the Au salat port which makes it a long songthaew ride to your gaff

We only had 2 nights in ko kood before heading over to ko chang. Took the older but more convenient ferry from centrepoint port going to ko chang
First on First off

ok we got the bigger ferry from chang back to the mainland from Ao thammachat 350 baht for the car ferry and 4 peoples. good deal. (no double pricing im glad to see) i quite like ko chang, went last time 7 years ago not much reallly change. it cant?. most of its owned by the thai navy and it aint far from cambodia pretty sure the tourism potential will stay that way becauase of the thai military in the region . still i hope they can
compromise. but terers no beer on board

i posted up a couple of questions re accomadation on ko chang and bogon recommened a place called kacha which looked great and also cheap in low season right on the beach and only 1600 baht problem was i needed a cot for the nipper, extra bed was 1700 baht, go get fooked. i ended up at paddys palms, not on the beach but an awesome gaff and paid 1560 for an awesome apartment, although not on the beach
thats the one bogan recommended and the price was great for me and my wife but room to small and i aint paying 1700 baht for a cot plus 1700 for the cot for the nipper

decent size pool at paddys palms to
Arriving at paddys palms i was delighted to see that they had a sunday roast going on

i better show you me loom as punty would say
this was probably the best mattress that ive ever slept on
i flipped it over and got the specs, I want one
loom came with a jakuzzi, kids liked it
Looks like a nice break mate. We used to head for Bang Bao when we'd go to Koh Chang. Nice and quiet. Bit late now, but half way down the island there's a place to rent out kayaks and head out to 3 little islands just off the coast. The 2 kids prolly would have liked it.
Nice resort & loom, bld.
Your Mrs looks particularly fit in that swing pic. Good on her. Tell her that her hard work has paid off and send her my congratulations!
Another great thread bld!! Enjoy this one. Green sent!
A view of white beach taken from the hill
From Kai Bae view point

went walking along white beach looking for beer and seafood and found a nice little bar where the san mig lites were cold and the kids could do there sand castle thing
There was some cheap backpacker type accomadation here to
met an english bloke who said he had been living in one of these huts for months for 200 baht a day
Nice little spot
Found the seafood that mrs BLD had been hankering for
There is a little bit of nightlife on white beach , i had a shore pass and went out to investigate
It had been raining so young noi tried to warm me up
Faark. hope the wife doesnt walk past
This is the place that bogan mentioned, live musiic by filipino bands
Down at Kai bae beach theres a cluster of bars in a walking street
next day we were of to see a waterfall, visit Bang bao fishing village and show the kids an elephant or 2
job done, waterfalls next
Time for some more dual pricing
Bang Bao fishing village is a bit of a tourist trap but has some good views and is the departure point for dive boats
Here you will find the usual touristy souvenirs such as seashells, rubber chickens etc, theres a couple of restaurants down the pier that are ok though
My oldest boy amused his little brother by somehow getting his arm stuck in a chair at a seafood restaurant we were in.
i had the scallops
i spent a week in Bo's many years ago. The rooms aren't terrible as they at least had mossie nets on the beds and a balcony. beer was run as a help yourself but write what you had and pay later deal which seemed a bit risky.
got some pics somewhere.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
If you were single then all you needed was a workbench and a shitter.
Great thread BLT and thanks for sharing.
Surf was definitely up thogh I was shocked that you weren't wearing a man-kini a lá Sasha Cohen. 555
The pics will make for great memories when you're 64...just get that young noi out of the Koh Chang album (or it could come back to bite awfully hard.)
Thanks again for sharing. Sites around Koh Kood are supposedly a divers paradise though not in rough sea conditions.
I like the way ya Mrs gets on the piss with ya.
That is when ya know ya have picked a worthy Bint.
Nice work Eh.
Erm. That wasn't my missus
