Excellent stuff MM - Good hotel recommendation too. I don't like to spend more than 1K if I ever to stay for a night in Bangkok. I can't understand paying a lot of money to be somewhere nice for one night when you are going to be unconscious.

It must be quite a novelty for Australians to come to Thailand, what with all these indoor toilets and that sort of stuff

The first time I saw a bidet in a bathroom I thought that it was a drinking fountain....Thankfully I wasn't thirsty.

Talking of toilets, as we are, what's the idea with the telephone next to the toilet in posh hotel room bathrooms? What sort of person rings someone up when they're sitting on the bog?

37 weeks pregnant again? I guess there is not so much to do where you live in Australia.

No wonder you flew to Thailand.

Nice looking racka' MM, but a lousy little serve of coleslaw from a can, and no other salad. Furthermore, you didn't touch it as far as I can see! Tut Tut.

Seems like Silom is cheaper than Sukhumvit for accomodation. I would not have guessed that, it's the Banking area.
