No ‘nipple gangs’ in Phuket: Police

PHUKET: Phuket police today were firm in the assertion that there are no “nipple gangs” at work in Phuket.

The news follows a report by the China Daily newspaper saying that Singaporean men on holiday in Phuket had been drugged by knock-out drops smeared onto women’s breasts.

Once drugged unconscious, the men were robbed, the report said. Other newspapers and websites have carried similar reports of nipplers operating here and in Pattaya.

However, Phuket Provincial Police Commander Pekad Tantipong, told the Phuket Gazette that he had received no reports of such incidents occurring in Phuket.

“I have not received any reports about ‘nipple gangs’ in Phuket. There was the case just last week of the women we arrested for spiking tourists’ drinks and robbing them – but so far we have not received any reports of men being taken advantage of by women tainting their nipples with drugs,” he said.

Bangonrat Shinaprayoon, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) regional office in Phuket, expressed concern over the impact that such reports could have on Phuket’s tourism industry.

“We have not received any complaints of this happening, but according to the report on a foreign news website, a nipple gang is back in Phuket and targeting tourists from China and other countries in East Asia,” she told the Gazette.

“If this is happening in Phuket, it would affect Phuket’s tourist reputation a lot. Any reports of 'nipple gangs' who drug and rob people must be investigated by the relevant authorities

“China is one of the top five source markets for Phuket’s tourism industry. About 150,000 tourists from China came to Phuket in the first half of this year alone,” Ms Bangonrat said.

with such deep seated concerns for phukets reputation, i wonder what her views on the tuk tuk mobsters, the jetski mobsters, and the police mobsters are.

Damn DD you beat me to this.....I had a 2 old friends that were drugged and robbed in BKK...took them fully to the cleaners everything was gone...they were drugged in a bar in BKK and don't remember leaving the bar at all....3 days of their lives gone along with their funds and credit cards....These dumb ass fuckers could've killed them.

Of course - you are quite correct. I was obviously confused by the mass of heaving bosom and vainly tried to concentrate on the flora in that picture.

OT (slightly) - About 5 years ago when I was keenly working as a TPV in Bangkok (Lumpini), a Brit expat brought his newbie mate into the police station to report that he took a BG back to his hotel, fcuked the tart doggie style up the poop shooter, and then he passed out due to being drugged. He woke up 12 hours later minus wallet, camera, money etc.

I went over to the hotel and examined the hotel video which clearly showed the culprit in the hotel foyer. What's more - I actually recognised the thief! But I didn't have the heart to tell the victim that the thief was a wellknown ladyboy who plied the streets in that area...
