Motorbike Thief assists victim with reporting crime at Pattaya Police Station
An 18 year old man was arrested by Police on Tuesday after he pretended to assist the victim of a motorbike theft and offered to take her to the Police Station to report the theft, even though it was him that actually stole the bike in the first-place.
Police arrested Khun Pongpan at a motorbike repair shop in Soi Khopai in South Pattaya after the owner of the bike, Khun Nittaya aged 42, suspected he was up-to-no-good after Khun Pongpan agreed to help her to report the theft, even though she had not told anyone, apart from her Son, that the bike had been stolen.
Khun Pongpan confessed to stealing the bike just before 5am on Tuesday and hid the bike in woodland in Soi 14 off the Pratamnuk Road.
The bike has now been recovered and the suspect is behind bars awaiting a court appearance.
