Police Lieutenant Colonel Pongsawat from Pattaya Police Station was called to house number 315/9 in Soi Paniachang, Central Pattaya on Monday Night to report on a house robbery. The house is owned by Mr. Gerhard Schulz aged 40 from Germany who lives with his Thai Girlfriend. Both had gone to SF Cinema City in North Pattaya to watch a movie which began at 9.30pm. When they returned to their home just after midnight, they realized that their house had been broken into and their Bronze colored 4 door Toyota Tiger pick-up had been stolen. Police arrived at the scene and determined that a Sony laptop computer had been stolen and an attempt had been made to steal a safe but it remained inside the house. Neighbors mentioned hearing the car alarm but only for a short time and no one thought anything of it. The house was dusted for prints and we understand that fingerprint evidence was taken from the scene. Police are now appealing for witnesses in this case while Mr. Schulz counts the cost of his expensive trip to the cinema.
