Pattaya French drug dealer arrested

Undercover Police arrest suspected French drug dealer.

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, Police Captain Ataporn from the Pattaya Undercover Narcotics Unit conducted a press conference at Pattaya Police Station to announce the arrest of a French National who was accused of selling class 2 and class 5 drugs. Police had been tracking the target, Mr. Alex Vandenbulke aged 30 for some time and on Monday Night they organized a drugs transaction using marked bank notes. Following the exchange of drugs for money, Police moved in and arrested Mr. Vandenbulke who had allegedly sold a 2.6g Raw Opium Seed. When Police moved in, the suspect also discarded a small tin pot which contained 0.8g of raw opium mixed with Marijuana which was recovered by Police and taken into evidence. During questioning, the suspect was initially uncooperative but he eventually confessed to selling the drugs but claimed this was the first time he had sold drugs and confirmed that he would consume the drug on a regular basis. The case will be heard in court later this week.

I can never understand why people think they can get away with selling drugs here. They must have nothing to go back to their home country for.

For some strange reason he hasnt got his arm through his shirtsleeves.

Does anyone know if is it common to mix raw poppy seeds with ganja and smoke it?

If probability is to be considered, he was a greasy, dick-nosed shirtless frog selling drugs and after they handcuffed him, they allowed him to slip a T-shirt over his stupid knuckle head before taking him in for the photo shoot.

It never ceases to amaze me that there is an endless supply of foreigners who think noting of coming to Thailand and setting up a business in direct competition to the locals.

What do these guys think, that the locals are going to put up with this competition?!

^ But you have to also consider their supplier will be Thai, and that might offer enough protection if they are doing enough trade.

For the few cases of farang drug dealers we see get caught here there is probably quite a number of them doing well of it especially around Patters and Samui.

I agree though, silly business to get caught up in here. Risks and profit ratio doesn't work out as favourable as in the west.

Ive never heard of opium seeds beeing mixed with Ganja....although I have had opiated hashish,a very mellow smoke....

Seems he was a drug dealer, Thaskin allowed over 3,000 street executions of suspected drug dealers in a 3 month period, seems he got lucky that Thaskin aint in power and he is a farang.

but admitted does not mean guilty, does it?

Particularly if torture or beatings may have been used to extract admission... which as I understand it is not the same as a confession either...

Poor sod. This is yet another victimless crime. There is something badly wrong when a man who is selling what basically a herb has to have his life wrecked just because of a very stupid public policy.

Selling or possesion drugs is illegal, you get caught you pay the price. I might be mistaken but raw opium isnt a herb. He wrecked his own life Im afraid, he knows drugs are illegal yet he chose to sell them. Fool.
