The Phuket International Airport (HKT) has announced on June 13th, 2025, that the airport (HKT) activated its emergency response plan following a reported bomb threat onboard Air India flight AI 379. The aircraft, carrying 156 passengers, was en route from Phuket to Delhi (DEL) when the pilot discovered a threatening message during the flight.


At approximately 9:30 AM, the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand informed Phuket Airport authorities of the situation. In response, the airport swiftly implemented Chapter 3 of its Airport Contingency Plan (ACP), specifically designed for bomb threats. Emergency protocols were put into action, ensuring preparedness across all relevant departments.


Following coordination with the airline and aviation authorities, the aircraft was cleared for an emergency landing at Phuket International Airport. Authorities confirmed that all necessary precautions had been taken to secure passengers, crew, and airport personnel.
