On May 31st, 2025, at approximately 10:30 PM, a violent dispute unfolded in Pattaya’s Soi 13/3 along the beachfront, involving a transgender woman and a Sri Lankan tourist. The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center received a report of the altercation, which left one person injured, calling the Pattaya City Police.
At the scene, authorities found Mr. Sepala, a 54-year-old Sri Lankan national, with a head wound and blood streaming down his body. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before transferring him to a hospital for further treatment. The alleged assailant, identified as a 29-year-old transgender woman, Mintran, was detained and taken to Pattaya City Police Station for questioning.
According to Mintran, Mr. Sepala approached her to inquire about the cost of companionship services, agreeing on a price of 2,000 baht. She claimed he then insisted on touching her genitals to verify her gender, which she allowed once. However, when he repeated the action without proceeding with payment, an argument ensued. The situation escalated when Mr. Sepala allegedly tore Mintran’s shirt, causing a chest injury. Enraged, Mintran struck him on the head with her high-heeled shoe four to five times.
Mr. Sepala, on the other hand, stated he only touched Mintran to confirm whether she was biologically female, as he was uncertain. After doubting her gender and deciding not to proceed with the transaction, he attempted to leave. He claimed Mintran became furious, grabbed his shirt, and attacked him with her shoe, resulting in his injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation, gathering statements from both parties to determine the full circumstances of the incident and any potential charges.
