Bangkok rated best city for digital nomads – New York Post

Bangkok has been voted the world’s best city in which to live and work remotely in 2025, said Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikarn Watthanachan, quoting the New York Post’s website.

According to the Post, research firm “QR Code Generator” created an index of the best international locations for digital nomads, giving them scores out of 100.

Bangkok rated 69.98, making it the best destination for digital nomads working remotely, thanks to its affordability, fast internet, vibrant street life, stunning scenery and remote working visas.

“Bangkok’s ornate temples, delectable cuisine and energetic street life are ideal for anyone seeking to experience somewhere new,” said the experts at QR Code Generator.

“The Thai capital offers a dynamic atmosphere, making it attractive for any digital nomad looking to embrace a heritage-rich city, with a unique blend of modernity and tradition,” added the experts.

Sasikarn said that the Thai government is promoting tourism, with visas on arrival for citizens of 93 countries (for stays of up to 60 days), adding that the government is ready to offer the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) to digital nomads who want to work remotely in Thailand, with the freedom to travel at will.

The second best city for digital nomads in 2025 is Bucharest, the capital of Rumania, which scored 65.62.

Not that Bangkok or Thailand might be worthy of such an honor for working habitat, but thinking it would be impossible to gather a thorough and conclusive number by way of the usual small percentage of digital nomads surveyed.

Same folks could repeat such a poll [in any manner] next week and get a different result....and a week after that a different one again.
Beware of any polls, surveys or opinionated consensus of any nature.....no such beasts as an absolute.

We've become indoctrinated to buy into any public canvassing [scientific or unscientific bullshit] that "they" offer to spill out.
    Distractions and misdirection.
    The game.
