Foreign Tourist Pays 1,500 Baht for Cleaning After Soiling Taxi Seat in Pattaya

A 60-year-old foreign tourist caused a scene in Pattaya after defecating on a taxi seat, eventually agreeing to pay 1,500 baht for cleaning.

At 5:30 PM on March 19th, the Pattaya Police Station received a report about a foreign man who soiled the seat of a taxi. The man and the taxi driver were arguing over the compensation in front of a well-known shopping mall in North Pattaya.

Upon arrival, officers found the taxi driver, Mr. Narapat, 32, arguing with a 60-year-old foreign tourist, whose name was withheld to protect his privacy. The driver then led the officers to his vehicle to show the extent of the mess.

The soiled seat was on the passenger side of his taxi. The area around the car was littered with used tissues stained with excrement.

It was reported that the tourist attempted to walk away while his companion stayed behind to negotiate on his behalf. According to Mr. Narapat, he had been waiting for passengers at the location when two foreign men approached and requested a ride to Soi Buakhao in South Pattaya.

However, shortly after getting in and as the car began moving, one of the passengers, who was sitting next to him, was unable to hold his bowels and defecated on the seat. The tourist then attempted to clean the mess with tissues he had brought along.

Mr. Narapat explained that the seat would need professional cleaning, which would cost 1,500 baht. The foreigner, however, refused and insisted on paying only 300 baht, leading to a loud argument.

Eventually, the foreign tourist agreed to pay the full 1,500 baht cleaning fee before both sides went their separate ways.

Fxck I'd be so embarrassed if I did this. I would have given him more than 1,500 baht if he was asking for more.

^ Exactly. I’d have emptied my wallet into the driver’s hand and ran before he even noticed I shat in his vehicle.

Jesus, why argue about a small amount? And to be fair the taxi is now out of commission for the rest of the night too…

You would think a well known shopping mall might have public toilets.

I dare say he had little warning and no choice. Any public toilets too far away.

Most likely a valid and very useful comment from the forums renowned janitorial consultant, his expertise on cleaning up other peoples excrement is i'm sure welcomed by teak doors vast cohort of ageing and fecally incontinent members.

I think tax suggested DrWilly isn't yet a coffin dodger unlike some of our other cherished posters. Perhaps DrWilly is a youngster like Armstrong.

Ah pattaya, if it's not turds bobbing by on cerulean seas it's taxis with a faint whiff of shite. Perhaps somchai can focus on subcontinental passengers and charge them more for reminding them fondly of bombay
