^looks like a nice event. I didn't go to Buak Hard Park during my visit to CM but I've seen vids of it. It seems like a nice lil park, good for morning walks or runs. Are there senior people who do tai chi there? (or zumba, ballroom/ couple dancing, etc)

In PH, there's also a flower festival in Baguio city (North of Luzon Island), held around the last weekend of February. It usually attracts a lot of local tourists. I haven't been to Baguio during flower festival as I don't like the loads of ppl but I've seen the tail end of the exhibits - visited one weekend after.

No elders doing tai chi but plenty of people doing yoga. Suan Buak Haad Park is very crowded these days.

^thanks, MK. Is the yoga a group yoga or individual ppl? In Taiwan, Vietnam (and China too, I guess) I've seen ppl doing tai chi in parks. In Hanoi, there were couples dancing, in PH it's usually zumba mommies. (The zumba mommies & grannies are in malls too, as well as basketball courts, lol)

I've heard a travelling vlogger couple say that CM is not very walkable and there's a lack of parks. Aside from Bua Haad, is there any other park in CM? I've seen a golf course and a cemetery on Google maps as the green spaces within/ near the old city.

The old city is and always has been very built up. Outside the temples and government buildings grounds, not a lot of open space.

Not walkable…I’m not so sure. There are plenty of sidewalks but when you get into some of the side streets there are none. You’re left dodging cars, motorbikes, vendors, and the thongs of other people walking.

Very decent of them to change the dates at the last minute after loads of people have bought non-refundable flights and hotels.

Chiang Mai's reputation trashed once more.
