A 36-year-old Indian national, Mr. Sunil, was arrested after firing a blank gun into the sky, causing panic among locals in a residential area of Soi Kopai 4/1 in Pattaya.

At 11:36 PM on November 20th, 2024, R.T.T. Chittisuk Suthinitaswong, Deputy Chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, received a report of the incident and led a team of police officers to investigate. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Sunil intoxicated. A search revealed a blank gun with 22 rounds of ammunition, which was seized as evidence. The gun was found to be unmodified.

Mr. Sunil explained that he had purchased the gun from a dealer and was unaware that it was illegal to carry or fire it for fun. He admitted that he had been drinking with friends and, on a dare, fired the gun into the sky without considering the alarm it would cause among local residents.
