The wife of a former deputy national police commissioner, for whom arrest warrants have been issued for trespass and the theft of assets worth 6 million baht, surrendered to the police today to deny the charges against her.
Sirinadda, the wife of former Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, was accused of trespassing in a condominium unit in the Phra Khanong district of Bangkok on August 18th and stealing luxury watches, handbags and documents.
The room’s owner, identified as “Thanattha”, a special lecturer at the Police Cadet Academy, filed a complaint against Sirinadda.
Thanattha, whose husband holds the rank of police colonel, informed the police that she attempted to negotiate with Sirinadda to return the assets, but Sirinadda refused.
As a result, Thanattha decided to take legal action.
The Court agreed to issue arrest warrants for Sirinadda, after police presented evidence they had collected from the room, including CCTV footage.
