Lopburi Teen Fatally Mauled by Three American Bully Dogs

At 3:30 PM on August 31st, 2024, Tha Hin police officers received a report of an 18-year-old man who was fatally attacked by three American Bully dogs inside his home in Mueang Lopburi.

The incident occurred in a ground-floor bedroom where the victim (whose name was withheld by the police) was found lifeless on his bed with multiple bite marks on his face, arms, and legs. The scene was chaotic, with bloodstains throughout the house, and it is believed he had been dead for over 12 hours, according to the police.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim was alone at home the previous night. CCTV footage captured him at around 8:00 PM playing with his older brother’s three American Bully dogs, which were about two years old and had been brought from Bangkok a week earlier.

The dogs suddenly turned aggressive, chasing him from the second floor to his bedroom, where he was fatally attacked. The victim’s mother and brother discovered the body upon returning home, with the dogs still in the bedroom.

The victim’s brother, who owned the dogs, stated that he had brought them from Bangkok due to frequent travels between Lopburi and Bangkok. The dogs had reportedly shown no signs of aggression before, and the victim often played with them. However, it’s suspected that the dogs may have become territorial or were unfamiliar with the victim, leading to the tragic event, according to the police.

The body has been sent to the Phra Narai Hospital for an autopsy, and the police are conducting further investigations.

Not big on euthanising here, so they'll probably get someone else too until some responsible citizen puts a bullet through their heads.

    Hard to believe, this is.

    Killer dogs being given away

The owner of three American Bully dogs, which mauled his 18-year-old brother to death in Lop Buri’s Muang district, will give them away to anyone interested.

Grieving Apisit Chansakunnee said that, although he loves the dogs, he can no longer keep them.

Some organisations and individuals have contacted him, expressing their interest in adopting the dogs. Apisit said he is considering these requests and will make a decision soon.

The fatal attack occurred in Apisit’s bedroom on the second floor of his house on August 30.

Footage from the house’s security system shows the victim entering his brother’s bedroom to play with the dogs. He was then seen running from the room with the dogs chasing and attacking him on the stairs. His body was found the following day.

A forensic examination revealed that he had been dead for over 12 hours. He had deep wounds to his face and body and had lost a considerable amount of blood.

Apisit said he had brought the dogs, who are about two years old, from Bangkok to his parents’ house the previous week.

They had shown no signs of aggression and his younger brother enjoyed playing with them. On the day of the attack, no one else was in the house.

It really is hard to fathom, this one.

Thai reticence about putting a bullet in here.

    When after all,....

Anyway, a positive is that they turned on the individual daft enough to have them in his living place.
