This year, Thailand’s rainy season officially started on 20 May and will conclude in mid-October. This is the perfect time to explore nature, as it is the season when forests become greener, the weather is cooler, flowers are fully blooming, and the waterfalls are full of water.


Here is a list of recommended destinations to visit if you’re traveling around Thailand during the rainy season:

Having just arrived in Bangkok where it is 98F with 200% humidity I think I will stick to the shopping malls and restaurants and only venture outdoors after dark.

oooh, I see.

That's not quite true, willy. The UK normally uses Fahrenheit for temperatures above freezeing and Celcius below freezing. I always prefer it this way with a better scale between 55 and 100, just seems easoer to judge. Also for body temp with diffetence between normal and fever.

Been this wau long before media had to sensationalise everything.

Will have to go with Willy on this one. Have never heard F used in the UK with regards to weather temps.


They hung on to miles for a few decades too long, but have used C for as long as I can remember.

^ Fair enough, I've been out of the country too long and haven't really seen the televised weather forecast for some time. It is certainly the way it used to be back in the 90's but I guess they've caught up now. My dad isn't the best guide since he always gives me the weather the old fashioned way.

I can recommend the Indus in Soi 26 Sukhumvit for some reasonable Indian food but perhaps not to your taste.
It’s probably kosher so……..

Not a big fan of bobblehead tucker, although I do occasionally break bread with a paki ex dentist mate in a bradford eatery. Never been kosher, like halal its a stupid concept, but would never refuse a well constructed salt beef sandwich and a bowl of chicken soup with kneidlach. Nor a decent kaow moo daeng in that shop at the khlong toei junction come to that.



Meanwhile you can continue poisoning yourself with nitrite infused imported bacon and pork scratchings. Heathen! No wonder the veins in your legs are fucked.

My bacon is domestic and as far as I am aware not infused with nitrites but who cares, we are all consuming plastic mote beams at a rate that will reverse the longevity trajectory in any case. And of course the global warming ‘emergency’ will mean the world will be consumed in terminal steamy heat by 2100. I pity those silly fuckers signing up for 40 year mortgages.

My health problem is more hereditary than anything else according to the quack and I have known me legs do run in the family.
