Two French men have been pronounced dead at the scene after their motorbike crashes into a power pole in Paklok on Friday morning (May 24th).

The Thalang Police were notified of the accident at 4:40 A.M. on the Monument – Paklok Road. They and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike on the roadside.

At the power pole in the middle of the road they found the body of Mr. Alexander, 41, French national, bleeding heavily. Nearby they found another body, Mr. Michael, 39, also a French national. His helmet was still covering his head but he had suffered severe life-threatening wounds to his legs which took his life.

The Thalang Police told the Phuket Express that the two French men were heading to their accommodation. When they arrived at a curve, the motorbike driver lost control at high speed and the motorbike crashed into a central reservation.

The last names of the men were withheld pending contact of their families and embassy and funeral arrangements.
