    Another Cambodian opposition leader arrested

    Like father, like son.

The leader of a Cambodian opposition party Sun Chanthy has been arrested shortly after returning from Japan. Concerns are growing the crackdown on people critical of the government may intensify.
Cambodian police say they arrested the National Power Party leader at Phnom Penh International Airport last Thursday.
They say Sun Chanthy is accused of posting information on social media with the intent to incite the public and cause chaos in society.
The National Power Party has condemned the arrest as intimidation and called it a threat to the country's democratic process. It is calling for his unconditional release.
Sun Chanthy is the latest opposition party leader and senior official to be arrested by Cambodian authorities.
In the 2023 general election, the main opposition party was barred from running and the ruling Cambodian People's Party won a landslide victory.
Hun Manet became Prime Minister after taking over the administration of his father Hun Sen who held power for nearly 4 decades.

"incite the public and cause chaos in society".

Sounds almost identical to what they accuse people of to arrest them in China, when they can't think of anything rational.

Well the place is virtually owned by the chinkies anyway, so it's not surprising.
