Pattaya Tourist Bus Driver Hits Foreign Cyclist and Escapes

A tourist bus driver in Pattaya was caught on camera hitting a foreign cyclist and driving away without helping the injured person.

The incident occurred on May 8th, 2024, on Pattaya Second Road, near Pattaya 8 School in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. According to the footage, the cyclist, an unidentified foreign national, was riding on the road when the blue and white tourist bus approached and swerved into him, causing him to fall off his bike. The bus driver then continued driving without stopping to check on the injured cyclist.

Witnesses to the incident, including a local boxer, 23-year-old Mr. Sitthichok Kaewsanga, rushed to help the cyclist, who sustained a large, deep laceration on his right elbow. The injured cyclist was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Mr. Sitthichok later told local reporters that the injured foreigner was an older man. He said he was surprised to see the bus driver not stopping to help the victim and just keep driving.

According to reports, Pattaya police had already been informed of the incident and are currently examining the footage. They are in the process of contacting the injured cyclist to gather more information and are also searching for the bus driver and the bus’s registration number.

a farang stealing a 10 baht drink from a local will be located, apprehended, splashed all over the news, tried, convicted and deported in 5 minutes.

but a thai driver of a public bus full of passengers who runs over a foreign cyclist and fails to stop has not been apprehended yet, 2 days after the event.

    shitty people, shitty country.

now where have i heard that before?
