Man Fatally Shot Over Dog Dispute at a Nonthaburi Condominium, Suspect Still At Large

At 7:00 AM, on April 29th, 2024, Rattanathibet investigative police received a murder report of a man shot dead at a 16-storey condominium in Mueang Nonthaburi, Nonthaburi.

Rattanathibet forensic police, emergency services, and relevant agencies were dispatched to the crime scene and found the body of a man, publicly identified only as Mr. Kongchai, 45, in front of the ninth-floor elevator of the condominium, whose name was withheld pending further investigation.

According to the police report, wounds were found on his left cheek, penetrating the right side of his neck and his left arm. Three bullet shells were found near the body.

The police gathered CCTV footage at the condominium and discovered that the victim was headed to throw garbage away in front of the elevator. However, a man in a monkey cap, publicly identified only as Mr. Narin, a 40-year-old Thai-Swedish man, allegedly shot the victim three times before fleeing.

According to the police report, the victim’s wife reportedly told the police that Kongchai had his room adjacent to Narin, the suspect. The victim and the suspect reportedly had a recent verbal feud as Narin’s bulldog allegedly clawed the wall causing the victim annoyance. In turn, Kongchai’s small breed dog allegedly barked loudly.

Previously before the murder incident, they both allegedly had a heated argument inside the condominium’s elevator and the escalated quarrel caused Narin to later commit the murder, according to the police report.

The Nonthaburi Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Narin for intentional murder. The police were investigating the case to track down the suspect with caution as the suspect had a firearm and was a skilled shooter and was considered dangerous.

Both had dogs living in their condos? One a bulldog. Sounds like a lovely place.

I suspect the dogs are probably more intelligent than the owners.

Man Arrested for Alleged Murder Over Dog Dispute in Nonthaburi Condo

At 11:40 AM, on April 30th, 2024, Rattanathibet police captured a suspect who allegedly murdered a next-door neighbour over a dog dispute in a condominium in Mueang Nonthaburi, Nonthaburi.

Mr. Narin (Last name withheld), a 40-year-old Thai-Swedish man, was arrested at a residence in the Chom Thong area, Bangkok, and a 38mm pistol reportedly used to commit the crimes was confiscated as evidence.

The police interrogated Narin and found out that the pistol in his possession was allegedly from a locker that he found while he was a security guard at a pub. He then reportedly purchased ammunition from online platforms.

Upon further police investigation, Narin reportedly told the police that he intentionally shot the victim as the victim allegedly had an affair with his wife. The suspect further added that the victim allegedly showed him audio while having an affair with his wife escalating the situation even more.

The suspect reportedly asserted that he held no medical record or took antidepressant pills, according to the police.

However, the Rattanathibet police reportedly stated to Thai national media that the motive of the murder was indeed not over a dog dispute but the affair was not convincing. The police would investigate further to determine the real motive behind the murder and execute legal proceedings accordingly.
