Mother seeks justice following death of her 15-year-old son

The mother of a 15-year-old high school student in Phetchabun province sought help today from the Sai Mai Tong Rod Facebook page, to get justice for the death of her son at an outdoor graduation event in Chon Buri province on March 21st.

The 44-year-old mother, Patcharee, told the media at the office of the Facebook page owner today that her son fell unconscious when he was thrown into the sand as a punishment during a beach soccer game at Nang Ram beach in Sattahip district. He was rushed to the district hospital by his friends, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

She said that she was given 10,000 baht in compensation by the school’s management, but the amount was not even sufficient to cover the funeral costs, so she had to borrow from other people.

She also said that her family believes that her son’s death was an accident and that, initially, she did not want to take legal action against the school or her son’s friends, but changed her mind after consultation with the founder of the page, Ekapob Luangprasert.

A complaint will be filed with the Sattahip district police on Monday against the school’s management and others concerned.

    An odd way to go.

Broken neck due to the angle he was thrown at?
