Hong Kong-Thai woman stabbed to death in her luxurious house in London

London’s Metropolitan Police have launched a manhunt for the person who stabbed to death a 27-year-old Hong Kong-Thai woman in her expensive property on the edge of Hyde Park in the capital.

The body of Kamonnan Thiamphanit was discovered by police after they forced entry to her property on Monday.

The police were contacted on Sunday by the victim’s friends who were concerned about her welfare. Officers entered the property 13 hours later.

Neighbours told Daily Mail online that they heard high-pitched screams and then a worrying silence hours before her body was found. It is thought that Kamonnan may have known her attacker, as the five-storey building has a video entry system on the front door and there was no sign of forced entry before police officers entered on Monday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Clifton, who is leading the investigation, said that his team continues to work tirelessly to piece together the events that led up to the murder. He appealed to anyone who has information that could assist his investigation, “no matter how insignificant you think that may be”, to come forward and to speak to the investigators.

The flat near Hyde Park was still sealed off by police yesterday as the murder investigation entered a fourth day. Uniformed officers patrol the scene while several forensics vans remain parked outside as a scenes of crime teams continue to process the flat.

If it recorded. These are usually just to show the occupant who's at the door.

Met refers itself to police watchdog over handling of woman’s suspected murder

Mayor Khans Keystone Cops fuck up again.

Scotland Yard has referred itself to the police complaints watchdog after a woman was found dead at a house near Hyde Park the morning after it received several reports from friends concerned about her welfare.

A murder investigation was launched after police forced entry to a property in Stanhope Place, near Marble Arch, central London, at about 8.30am on Monday and found the body of Kamonnan Thiamphanit.

Officers had been contacted twice by friends of Thiamphanit on Sunday evening, the day before she was found dead, because they were concerned that they had not heard from her.

Their calls were graded as a medium-risk missing person inquiry at the time. Officers forced entry the next morning and discovered the body of the 27-year-old.

Thiamphanit, who was known to her friends as Angela, had suffered a number of stab wounds. There had been no signs of forced entry at the property.

A postmortem examination carried out on Wednesday found the cause of death to be sharp force trauma.

Cmdr Owain Richards told the PA news agency: “We received two calls from Kamonnan’s friends on Sunday 7 April, raising concerns that they had not heard from her for some time.

“One just after 7pm and then another one just after 9.30pm on the Sunday evening. We initially graded the missing person inquiry as a medium-risk, prior to forcing entry and discovering her body on the following Monday morning.

“As her friends had contacted police and then we subsequently found, tragically, the body, we have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is a standard referral in these cases to understand a review of what happened and whether there’s any lessons to be learned in relation to that.”

Officers believe it is likely Thiamphanit knew her attacker and was likely last seen by her friends on Sunday. No arrests have been made. Richards added: “We believe the suspect was known to the victim in this case and our homicide detectives are working around the clock to pursue all reasonable lines of inquiry to trace the suspect, arrest them and bring them to justice.

“We’re trying to piece together her background and lifestyle to help us understand the motive and the background to this matter to bring the suspect to justice.”

Richards said that the family of Thiamphanit, who had Chinese, Hong Kong and Thai nationality, lived overseas and had been informed.

“To lose a loved one in these circumstances is unimaginable and our thoughts are with them. We ask that their privacy is respected at this very sad and difficult time. I completely understand the shock and concern this incident has caused, especially to women living and working in the area.

“I understand there is speculation about what had happened to Kamonnan. While our detectives are keeping an open mind for any motive, I can confirm that it is likely her attacker was known to her.

“Kamonnan’s murder makes us all the more determined in our efforts to do everything we possibly can to keep women and girls safe,” he said.

Detectives continue to appeal for information. The IOPC has confirmed the Metropolitan police referred itself to the watchdog on Tuesday.

An IOPC spokesperson said: “We advised the force that its investigation should, in our view, review the police response against policy and procedure and identify whether there were any missed opportunities to find Ms Thiamphanit sooner and potentially prevent her death.

“However, we noted that the timing of her death is unclear at this stage so there may be a possibility that she was already deceased prior to the police being contacted.

“The force was reminded that should its investigation identify any conduct matters for any officers or staff, then a further referral should be considered.”

The Met Police are under the direct authority of the Home Secretary who appoints its Commissioner. Strategic responsibility is also shared with the Mayor of London, a role begun in 2011. A Tory government has had a controlling authority of the Commissioner for the past fourteen years.

we all know the met. police are too busy taking the knee, protecting hamas loving mobs and investigating online hate comments to have either the manpower or the time to deal with murders, stabbings, burglary or what most people would call " crime".

So, they’re self governing and not answerable either to their local authority or that of the Home Secretary?

I wonder who has been in government for the past fourteen years, eight of which were under the London mayorship of the sociopath and congenital liar BoJo the Clown.

The mayor was given a direct mandate for policing in london in 2011, ( police and social responsibility act.) as such, khan is responsible for setting the strategic direction of policing in london through the police and crime plan.
    mayor for policing and crime.

This includes the delivery of efficient and effective met policing, management of resources and expenditure. MOPAC ( mayors office for police and crime) is the functional body of the GLA that sets the policing budget, holds the commissioner to account and in partnership discusses progress against the police & crime plan, assesses the strategic budget position and key risks to delivery).

and as everybody knows, the met are pretty much useless. hamstrung by wokeism, cowardice and a justice system which is inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to fraudsters, gangsters, murderers and every other scrote that comes before the beak even when the evidence against them is cast iron.

A young woman stabbed to death at a party near Hyde Park may have been known her murderer who remains at large, police revealed.

Kamonnan Thiamphanit, 27, was found by officers at the £4million Grade II listed property on Stanhope Place, Bayswater around 8.30am on Monday.

Neighbours heard sounds of a loud gathering on Saturday night at the home being rented out as an Airbnb holiday let, followed by two high-pitched screams the following day.

    <snip>

The Metropolitan Police referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct watchdog over initial contact with a friend who called them twice, at 7.05pm and 9.34pm, on Sunday because Ms Thiamphanit hadn’t been in touch for some time.

The victim was initially graded as a medium-risk missing person prior to officers forcing entry and finding her body with stab injuries.

Ms Thiamphanit, also known as Angela, had Chinese, Hong Kong and Thai nationality. She was working in London.

I hope it's an easy case to solve and the perp is promptly locked away. I fear he might take the well-trodden path and flee abroad.

You gormless halfwit, you don’t have any friends and the Brit trash don’t come to Pattaya anymore except geriatric mongers returning with their wives or alone to visit ageing ditch digging chums.

She most likely knew her assailant, as her doorbell technology showed her who was at the door.

    She's also relatively wealthy.

I'd guess it's most likely that her assailant, who swiftly left the UK, was Thai.

They are investigating a specific individual with a view to extradition.

Complete crap from taxexile as usual and note how voraciously numpt jumped in to support his wittering.
