Chinese Tourist Falls to Death from 10-Meter Waterfall in Pai

At 3:30 PM, on December 31st, 2023, Pai police officers received a report of a Chinese tourist falling from a 10-meter high waterfall to his death at Pam Bok waterfall, Pai, Mae Hong Son.


After the Thai forest officers received a report from one of the tourists, the teams went to retrieve the body.
According to a report by Thai forest officers, the Chinese tourist who was identified as Peng Xin, 52, went to the Pam Bok waterfall with his sister before accidentally slipping from a 10-meter-high waterfall to his death.

Initially, there were no visible wounds from any sort of attack or struggle. However, the forest officers publicly stated that the Chinese victim went to the waterfall area without permission from the authorized officers.
The officers then transferred the body to Pai Hospital for further autopsy to determine the exact cause of the incident.
