I had one that kept nodding of on the expressway. I was in the back-seat paying no attention when another taxi pulled alongside and franticly got my attention about what was going on. We were probably doing 100kmh I gave him a shake to wake him up without startling the kunt, he was good for about another 5 kms then fell asleep again. I yelled at him to pull over so I could get the fuck out. But he continued and I yelled at him all the way to sukhumvit. Fucking guy must of been coming of a ya ba bender.

and that, precisely, is why i prefer to take the train.

it's a lottery hailing a cab in bangkok. too many taxi drivers are unprofessional, unlicensed, have anger issues and are intoxicated, especially at night, and thats before taking into account the standard of maintenance of the vehicle.

they are fine around town, but long journeys on fast expressways are not for the fainthearted. let the train take the strain!

......so that you arrive at the airport sweaty, pungent and stressed? ........Because I would prefer to use a taxi than try and save a few baht by using the train like you.
if you are too frail/fat/weak/lazy/spoilt to move your own heavy suitcase a few yards, then perhaps improve your fitness levels or spend a bit more on a some decent luggage. you'd be surprised how easy it is to pull/push/wheel a quality case with 30kgms loaded these days.

Yeah I bought a car instead of a motorbike.

I assume your personal transport is a skateboard, saving the pennies and all that.

And BOLT and inDriver in Pattaya. Fucking superb services and ridiculously cheap to get around town, the days of having dramas with taxi drivers or their bullshit meters are a long forgotten pain in the quiot.
