Unidentified female thief allegedly steals a phone and cash from a handicapped man

An unidentified female thief allegedly stole a phone and cash from a handicapped man in Sri Racha.

At 8:30 AM today, June 21st, Sri Racha police responded to a theft report in the Bang Phra subdistrict of Sri Racha, Chonburi.

According to local media, the victim was a handicapped man named Boonsom Nuchpong. He was 53 years old and suffered an impaired left leg and many diseases. He was found alone on his Blue Honda 110 beside Sukhumvit Road.

Boonsom told police that he was driving from Pattaya to Sri Racha to get to the hospital when he was approached by an unidentified woman who tried to befriend him. She asked to borrow his phone, but it was dead, so she told him she would charge it for him, Boonsom said.

However, he fell asleep at a roadside pavilion while waiting and awoke to shockingly find himself in a different location, with his belongings missing, including a phone, 1,500 baht cash, and a motorbike key, according to Boonsom’s testimony. He then pleaded with a pedestrian to call the police for him.

Sri Racha police initially contacted the hospital to transport the victim to treatment, and would later review CCTV footage to identify the culprit and track how the victim was moved.
