Am I the only one that found this entire press farce excruciatingly embarrassing?
Beyond belief.
Self love, masturbation, egocentric atrocity.
Finally, if this isn't the ultimate advertising campaign in which most Republicans and Politicians in general will be investing billions.
I'll eat my dog.

Shut the skies!
We had a run into Chanthaburi today.
Normal exit road from the villiage, waived through the Border Police post as normal. A few metres further a new tent, at province boundary, wi 3 bored looking police. I slowed and again waved through.
Traffic light over mountain and highway into Chanthaburi. Chanthaburi city was 10% of normal traffic. The bank had 3 customers, mask, temperature and hand gel compulsory. Same at Tesco, empty but well stocked. Some wine bought. 6 baguettes from the bakers.
On to Makro, mask, temperature and hand gel compulsory, pretty empty well stocked.
Upon return to our village the provincial police post now had three tents. Waived into the first where we were asked, by a police officer, where had we come from and our destination.
Waived onto tent no. 2 where we were told to get out of the pickup and the nurses took over. We had our temps taken and were told to disinfect our hands. Both OK we got back in the truck.
Nobody in the 3rd tent.

NEW YORK CITY is offering prisoners at Rikers Island jail $6 per hour — a fortune by prison labor standards — and personal protective equipment if they agree to help dig mass graves on Hart Island, according to sources with knowledge of the offer. Avery Cohen, a spokesperson for the office of Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed the general arrangement, but said that it was not “Covid-specific,” noting that prisoners have been digging graves on Hart Island for years.
The offer is only being made to those with convictions, not those jailed before trial. A memo sent to prisoners, according to a source who reviewed it, does not specify what the work on Hart Island will be, but the reference to PPE leaves little doubt. The offer comes as New York City continues to be the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in the United States, with 38,000 people infected and more than 914 dead so far. New York City owns and operates a public cemetery on Hart Island, which has long been maintained by prison labor. The island was identified as a potential resting place for a surge of bodies in the event of a pandemic by a 2008 report put together by the NYC Office of Chief Medical Examiner.

With the rate of Covid-19 infection now in Manila, I can just imagine the stats to jump even higher in the next 30 days. Flippers are hardheaded. Most do not take the necessary precautions.
They'll prolly believe more if the gov't concocted a ghost 'aswang' story.
Meanwhile, I'm dead tired going to town almost everyday to purchase goods and meds for people......
I am so unlucky that if I fall into a barrel full of D*ick**s, I'd come out sucking my own thumb!
@GF - the numbers are increasing because we're also testing more. I think the govt has received the test kits from SG? I remember earlier this month, during a Senate inquiry, that there were only 2,000 test kits available. But yes, there are still many ppl who violate the quarantine. Can't blame the others though - some are going out to make a living, like buying/selling goods, transporting ppl in tricycles or motorbikes illegally, etc. They just want to earn some $$ for food. The govt support of 2/3/5 kg rice, some canned goods & noodles - they're not enough to last for 2-3 weeks. The money remittance centers have been very busy - ppl aaking their relatives/ friends for support.
I'm still keeping my hopes up, since yesterday's numbers showed that although the positive cases increased (due to increased testing), the death rate has decreased: from around 8% last week to 6% this week (88 deaths, 2084 cases as of March 30 or 31).
Stay safe and healthy, GF!

US Navy Evacuating Aircraft Carrier Infected by Coronavirus
The U.S. Navy says it will remove the vast majority of USS Theodore Roosevelt’s crew so the aircraft carrier can be disinfected, one day after its commanding officer sent an urgent message asking for help controlling a COVID-19 outbreak.
“The key is to make sure that we can get a set of crew members that can man all those critical functions on the ship, make sure they’re clean, then get them back on while we clean the ship and get the other crew members off,” Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly said in a Tuesday interview with CNN. “And that’s the process we’re going through. It’s very methodical. We’re absolutely accelerating it as we go.”
The 1,100-foot Theodore Roosevelt tied up in Guam last week after several sailors were discovered to be infected. On Monday, Capt. Brett Crozier sent an extraordinary four-page letter asking for Navy help. His warship has no space to give infected patients a separate berthing space and bathroom, so he asked for help finding rooms ashore.

Going a little too far where I live IMO. I just cycled passed the local cooperative milk depot and they're checking peoples temperature before allowing them in. What's all that about? If the persons temperature is high does that mean they won't take his milk?
