BANGKOK, 9th May 2018 (NNT) - The Traffic Police Division has revealed that it will mail traffic tickets to the homes of traffic offenders, after recording over 7,000 violations per day in Bangkok.

Fifteen cameras had previously been installed across Bangkok to monitor traffic violations. The cameras are concentrated at on-ramps and underpasses and have since recorded over 7,000 violations per day.

Traffic Police will begin issuing tickets for cases of illegal overtaking. Areas with the most violations include the overpass near the Government Complex on Chaeng Watthana Road, followed by the Lak Si Roundabout overpass, and the Sam Liam Din Daeng overpass. Illegal overtaking comes with a fine of up to 1,000 baht, according to the Land Traffic Act.
