PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, 8th April 2018 (NNT) – Prachuap Khiri Khan has asked tourists to strictly follow the authorities’ instruction to refrain from swimming at marine tourist attractions due to strong wave in the Gulf of Thailand.
Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Head Kittikorn Thepyooamnuay said waves in the Gulf of Thailand could be 2-3 meters high and small boats have to remain ashore.
Beaches in many districts still have strong waves so red flags have been put up to warn tourists against swimming in the sea during this period especially at Manao Bay, Wing 5, Muang Prachuap Khiri Khan district for safety reasons.
Wing 5 has also assigned airmen to patrol the risk area and provide convenience to tourists.
